Coronado Beach

Coronado, since the 1980s also mistakenly known as Coronado Island, is a resort city located in San Diego County, California, across and around San Diego Bay from downtown San Diego.Its population was 24,697 at the 2010 census,up from 24,100 at the 2000 census.Coronado is Spanish for “crowned one”, and thus it is nicknamed The Crown City. Three ships of the United States Navy have been named after the city, including the USS Coronado (LCS-4).
